Note:

The University of Texas at EL Paso (UTEP), proposes "Building Entrepreneurial Capacity for Refugee Women" program to be part of the Summer Institute for Sustainability and Climate Change at Purdue University. The program will recruit twenty refugee women to participate in the six-week SISCC at Purdue. The program is aimed at refugee women who speak English and interested to learn how to be entrepreneurs. The program will have three main phases: 1) Recruitment and enrollment; 2) completing the SISCC online six-week program; 3) Learning and teaching evaluation and post program follow up, 4) and post-program evaluation, data analysis and final report. The program PI will also conduct an additional qualitative evaluation three months after the end of the program asking the participants to explain how the participation in the SISCC at Purdue has affected their lives thus far. Participants will provide anonymous feedback about the program. All data collected from these evaluations, surveys, and assessments will be compiled in a final report for future use in project improvement and dissemination purposes.
