Note:
The main goal of the proposed work is to partner with Dan Barton at Sandia National Laboratory on a project titled Investigation of Radiation Shielding of Additively Manufactured Electronic Packaging. In this project, UTEP PI will collaborate with our Sandia in realizing the proposed student and research engagement program and in meeting deliverables as described in the submitted LDRD proposal. Dr. Robert C. Roberts, PI of the Project at UTEP, is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Roberts will be directly responsible for overall project coordination with Sandia, assuring successful project completion, management of funding, submission of reports, supervision of students, and in the engagement with Sandia directly. For the technical deliverables, he will investigate materials and techniques necessary to realize additively manufactured electronic packages with enhanced radiation shielding properties.. He will also prepare manuscripts for publication. Dr Roberts will participate in the preparation of reports and presentations about the work conducted under this project as required by Sandia, and will engage in meetings established by Sandia for project.
