The objective of this task is to provide technical support for the research, development, and deployment of intelligent compaction (IC) technology during the reconstruction of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Pavement Testing Facility (PTF) at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center (TFHRC). The PTF is a state-of-the-art facility for the testing and validation of a variety of highway and pavement technologies, including new design methodologies, innovative materials and construction practices, and new quality assurance-quality control (QA/QC) techniques.
