Note:
The subaward to this NSF IUSE Level 1 project evaluate curricular materials designed to support student learning of green and sustainable chemistry in the context of an organic chemistry laboratory course. The proposed work for this subaward will be using mixed-methods to characterize levels of sophistication in students' responses to the assessment prompts embedded within the curricular materials (project-based labs and green chemistry case studies). The results of this subaward will inform the continued design optimization of these materials and generate evidence to evaluate the entire design of the course.
