Note:
In partnership with Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, help develop a work plan for the future implementation of a multi-campus undergraduate certificate program in data analytics. The unique structure of this proposed new undergraduate certificate program offers multipleeducational opportunities for matriculating students. At the basic level, it offers undergraduate student cohorts from both the Laredo (through TAMIU) and El Paso (through UTEP) communities the opportunity to earn anundergraduate certificate in data analytics, either as a stand-alone credential or as embedded for their credit completion requirements towards an undergraduate degree at either institution. Additionally, upon completion of their respective undergraduate programs, they could apply for admission into a variety of Biomedical Informatics data analytics certificate and graduate degree programs to be completed through UTHealth. Again, all of these UTHealth graduate certificate and degree programs are offered online so that students from Laredo and El Paso would not be required to physically relocate to Houston.
