Note:
The parent project for this grant request is a multi-year, NSF funded study to examine how Indigenous Peoples fair in the US judicial system (SMA #2222547). The project documents all cases involving Indigenous Peoples before state supreme courts, US appellate courts, and the US Supreme Court. In order to do this, we seek to employ undergraduate students to help us identify cases for inclusion, collect and code data, and become collaborative coauthors in the subsequent data analyses and publications. Unfortunately, the parent NSF project was unable to fund undergraduate student research assistants. We hope that this funding will assist us in funding impactful undergraduate research experiences.
