Sams 1.1.1 Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), in Laredo, Texas, aims to establish a Center for Countering Human Trafficking (CCHT) in order to contribute to the state and nation’s efforts to eradicate the trafficking of persons, particularly for Congressional District 28. The overarching goal of the CCHT is to conduct research that will generate an evidence-based curriculum to enhance post-secondary degree programs for future educators and health care workers likely to encounter human trafficking victims in their professional work in South Texas.
