Note:

We propose exploring the utilization of Room Temperature Ionic Liquids (RTIL) modulated to function in a combinatorial manner as a support electrolyte and a transduction element towards enabling ultra-sensitive electrochemical profiling of panels of VOC target analytes using a combination of chemical analytics and electrochemical profiling for developing artificial intelligence (AI) driven machine learning algorithms to get a breathomics signature for evaluating proof of feasibility for obtaining breath signatures. RTIL are molten salts that are liquid at room temperature and possess high chemical and thermal stability. RTIL are widely being used in electrochemical detection for their high electrochemical conductivity due to the presence of ionic species. RTIL can be easily incorporated into the gas sensor as they are non-volatile. Gas diffusing towards the surface of RTIL interacts by non-covalent interactions which ultimately leads to changes in the capacitive behavior of the system and their dielectric properties.
