IRB approved; NSF flow-thru; AIM 1: Define the subcultures that exist across multi-institutional MTS to understand how they might develop, converge, conflict, and interact with one another. AIM 2: Uncover the institutional and team- level conditions that facilitate and hinder MTS collaboration, with a particular focus on the role of leadership in maintaining effectiveness; AIM 3: Validate a training and development system for MTS education and STEM scholar development. The UTD research team leads will collaborate with other research team members to execute the research plan. They will also work with the evaluation team to combine data collection efforts, where possible, to reduce assessment fatigue.
