SAMs 1.3.2 - The purpose of the this NIH T32 Initiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD) research training program is to develop a diverse pool of scientists earning a Ph.D., who have the skills to successfully transition into careers in the biomedical research workforce. Training grants offset the cost of stipends, tuition and fees, and training related expenses, including health insurance, for the appointed trainees in accordance with the approved NIH support levels.
