SAMS 1.1.1 The two major goals for this research project are to (1) to model common Aristaless-related homeovox (ARX) mutations in mice and human cells to mechanistically understand the basis of these relatively common neurodevelopmental disorders and (2) to more generally understand the mechanism of pathogenesis of polyalanine (pAla) tract expansions, associated with a growing number of human neurodevelopmental disorders.
