Note:

SAMs 1.1.1 This collaboration is based on a shared interest in identifying the mechanisms underlying modulation of mesolimbic dopamine neurotransmission and responses to drugs of abuse by locus coeruleus (LC) neurons This research project will examine how LC-derived galanin modulates various aspects of cellular and behavioral responses to opioids, with a focus on the LC afferent to VTA dopamine neurons and how release of galanin from this projection affects opioid-related behaviors.
