SAMs 1.1.1; The goal of this research project is to continue a long-term collaborative project to understand the chemical mechanisms of riboflavin synthesis enzymes, including structural identification of intermediates that are detected kinetically. The results of this project will establish how riboflavin is formed from GTP and ribulose-5-phosphate.
