SAMs 1.3.2 The overall objective of this fellowship program is to broaden the participation of underrepresented graduate students in the areas of risk assessment and environmental protection pertinent to nuclear engineering by providing assistance, research opportunities and professional development. The proposed program consists of an integrated approach to expose underrepresented students to graduate school. It involves assistances, research training, and workshops that increase critical thinking and professional skills in order to attract and retain more underrepresented Master and Doctoral students in science and engineering.
