SAMs 1.1.1; This collaboration research involves the use of biological materials, use of recombinant nucleic acids / synthetic nucleic acids. Research Scientist and GRA will be responsible for synthesizing and characterizing PLGA-based materials, performing in vitro and in vivo studies, data collection and analysis, and drafting manuscripts for publication. We will utilize a novel nanoparticle delivery system to release miR-210 mimetics post-HLI at appropriate pre-selected time points and determine its effect on markers of angiogenesis and oxidative stress. We will associate the markers with blood flow and muscle recovery. We will also investigate improvements in mitochondrial and walking functions.
