Note:
SAMs 1.1.1 The research team at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) will be responsible for characterizing the structure and function of human STEAP2 protein at the molecular level, chemistry aspects of the project, and will work closely with the research team at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) to coordinate efforts on the iron/copper quantitation, spin state, and oxidation state determinations of the cancer and control cell lines using advanced Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. Thus, the collaboration between the UTHSCSA and UTSA teams is already successfully functioning, and the groups are set to continue the proposed studies described in this proposal and co-publish the findings.
