Note:
SAMs 1.1.1; In this research project, the UTSA team will develop CO2-based particle image velocimetry (PIV) seeding approaches and characterize particle response, with comparisons to TiO2 seeding, in the UTSA hypersonic wind tunnel. Comparisons and a cost-benefit analysis will also be made relative to acetone molecular-tagging velocimetry. A primary objective is for the developed tools to be transitioned to AFRL facilities and stakeholders.
