Note:

SAMS 1.1.1 In this research project, the PIs will develop techniques to tackle three major types of privilege abuses: abuses of read access to camera output, abuses of write abuses to screen, and abuses of GPU resources. In particular, the PIs will develop (1) trackable-anchor flow analysis to detect unnecessary read accesses to real-world objects without any virtual objects to be placed on them, (2) abnormal object-occlusion-detection techniques to detect intentional occluding of real-world objects, and (3) GPU resource-abuse analysis and recovery to detect abnormally expensive virtual objects and shader scripts. The PIs will further study mitigation mechanisms such as blocking unnecessary read accesses with user prompts / notifications, making
