SAMs 1.3.1; The Urban Education Institute at UTSA (UEI) will facilitate an evaluation plan according to the following two objectives: 1. Identify the successes and challenges associated with the delivery of the Scholar Success Program (SSP). 2. Generate solutions to the problem of interest that are informed by first-gen students and local student affairs professionals. A mixed-methods evaluation design will be utilized to collect data across the first year of program implementation. The data collection and analysis strategy involves conducting focus groups, interviews, and to disseminate and analyze student surveys. There is an approved IRB protocol in place for this research study.
