Title of Contract, Award, or Gift: Predicting Stroke Hemorrhagic Conversion with a Novel Machine Learning Algorithm
Name of Granting or Contracting Agency/Entity:
San Antonio Medical Foundation
Program Title: none
Note:
SAMs 1.1.1 The primary goal of this research study will be to build a hemorrhagic transformation scoring system based on head CT scans. A secondary goal will be to identify relationships between features in CT scans and optimal interventions and timing. These will be incorporated into a system that can be downloaded and used by radiologists and clinicians to help improve stroke treatment. This machine learning approach has the potential to become a critical tool for neurology, neurosurgery, vascular surgery, radiology and neuroradiology.
