Note:
SAMs 1.1.1 and 1.1.4; The research project will develop a space-based metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) and recycling technology. This technology will have the capability to manufacture metal parts utilizing AM in a zero-gravity or micro-gravity environment and recycle space debris into usable material to be fed back into the AM system. The Phase I objective is to develop feasibility studies, create preliminary design models, develop computational simulations and identify any critical process parameters required by the system. A GRA is assigned to a specific aspect of the technical work.
