Note:
SAMs 1.1.1; This research project will identify energetic storm particle events observed two or more of the ACE, STEREO-A and STEREO-B spacecraft. The goal is understand what causes the variations in the properties of energetic helium, oxygen, and iron observed at the different spacecraft. Specifically, the impact of the weaker solar cycle 24 on the properties of ESP events (e.g. peak intensities, fluence and spectral properties) through a direct comparison of similar properties from ESP events observed during solar cycle 23 will be examined.
