Note:
SAMs 1.4.2; This research project will study the strategic role of information technology(IT) in crisis management. Research venues for scholars to discuss socio-technical theories, models, and frameworks in disaster management are scarce. In this digital era, disaster response relies on the use of computerized solutions by responders and the community affected. An improved understanding can help rationalize proper investment of technical assets and human capital, identify key system supports to generate, and cultivate IT policies and procedures. In addition, it is important to investigate the interactions between IT and individual citizens, organizations, and society at large.
