SAMs 1.1.1 This research project encompasses four tasks in response to this request: consult with selected City Council and community members to increase awareness of traffic stop data analysis complexities, including benchmarking (Task 1), review and assess current traffic stop data collection protocols; provide recommendations as needed (Task 2), analyze recent LPD arrest data to identify factors associated with arrest (Task 3), and analyze recent traffic stop data to identify the racial/ethnic composition of those encounters and compare against appropriate benchmarks (Task 4).
