Note:
SAMs 1.1.1; The objective of this research project is to expand the corpus from the already functioning work of scanning Elsevier's Scopus, to articles and various works created by the U.S. Cooperative Extension System. The Extension Service has a site that contains a custom search engine powered by google that searches these resources hosted by the many decentralized extension sites. NASS would like the cooperator to run their machine learning (ML) model on that source to discover extension resources that have utilized ARMS or Census datasets in an attempt to answer the 5W's (who what where when and why) of NASS data usage. UTSA team will apply a string search as well as the initial winning Machine Learning Kaggle model to the two search corpora and extract as many dataset-publication dyads as a possible for ARMS and Cencus. UTSA will develop a work cloud with the limited subset of articles from the two sources. They will provide NYU with materials for a final report to the NASS Administrator.
