SAMs 1.1.1 The goal of this project is to develop research and capacity on how society can support sustainability and CO2 capture, particularly around the adoption of engineered design in coastal regions and what policies could support the reduction of CO2 emissions in oceans. Specifically, to understand and identify the ethical, social, economic, legal, safety and environmental considerations reflected in the Puerto Rican community concerning a mangrove living coastline at both micro and macro level of the local system and to initiate trust-building and the establishment of contacts with the community in order to begin a co-creation partnership across the duration of the project.
