SAMs 1.1.1 and 1.1.4; UTSA shall conduct independent testing and red-teaming of both the hardware and software components against the following targets: Technical Areas: TA1 Cyber Security and SWaP: Resist ITE penetration test of many-to-many IoT for 4 hours using < 50% battery TA2 Miari botnet DDoS mitigation time: 1 second 10k distributed IoT nodes TA3 Environmental Testing: Water, salt, electromagnetic interference, temperature, radiation The TA2 metric is latency at scale, to measure the ability to rapidly detect threats, determine appropriate defenses, and deploy and actuate these defenses against an adaptive adversary operating at scale. Latency measures the ability of the defender to adapt and dominate an adaptive adversary using the principles of John Boyd's Observe Orient Decide (OODA) Loop. Experimental validation of moderate-scale realizations of TA2 solutions at the end of Phase I requires software deliverables that operate in conjunction with the encryption device developed by NSA and Forward Edge-AI. The sub awardee will evaluate TA1 and TA2 realizations using its own test range. Sub awardee shall conduct tests and demonstrations to validate Mirari botnet DDoS detection and mitigation metrics for adversarial or anomalous activities that meet or exceed the requirements specified in Table 1 of this SOW.
