Note:

SAMs 1.1.1 UTSA will conduct 36 tests to detect the presence of Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B (SEB) in a food matrix. The test will be conducted in BSL3 laboratory using a portable instrument provided by Southwest Research Institute (SwRI). Specifically, we will prepare the toxin solution, spike the toxin into a test matrix (e.g., food matrix, or similar), and test the matrix in the detector. Each toxin is to be tested at three concentrations, in two matrices, with five replicates (3 x 2 x 5 = 30 samples). Additionally, 6 matrix alone samples will be used as blank/control.
