SAMs 1.1.1; This research project will compile and analyze data to assess the status of girls (0 to 17 years of age) in San Antonio. The analysis will cover the dimensions of demography, health and well-being, education, work, opportunity youth, accelerated adult status, economics, housing, transportation, digital access and victimization and crime. The analysis will is based on comparisons of 1) girls and boys in Bexar County, 2) girls in Bexar County by race/ethnicity (Asian, Black, Latina, and White), and 3) girls in Bexar County by race/ethnicity to girls Dallas, Harris, and Travis Counties. The products delivered include: 1) a one-page overviewing the highlights of the research findings on the status of girls in Sam Antonio and 2) final report on the status of girls in San Antonio.
