SAMs 1.1.1 and 1.1.4, Approved in FY22 RRE ID 101709; The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Center for Archaeological Research (CAR), in response to a request from the Adams Environmental, Inc. proposes to monitor excavations by CPS Energy (CPS) associated with the installation and replacement of new utility poles and anchors in south San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. The principal goal of the project is to monitor for cultural resources and analyze any research findings collected. Project Archaeologists (PA) will conduct and lead the archaeological monitoring fieldwork. The Laboratory Supervisor, PA, and Laboratory Technician will complete the curation preparation of all associated project records. A lab-based Illustrator (GIS) will support the fieldwork, analysis, and preparation of maps and illustrations for the report.
