SAMs 1.1.1 and 1.1.4; The Center for Archaeological Research will document the Coleto Creek collection and curate it as specified in the THC Certification Program Criteria. CAR is dedicated to upgrading the care and management of the collections in its custodianship. The proposed project will further the Centers ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and inventory state held-in-trust collections held at our facility to attain and exceed the THC certification requirement that minimum of 65 percent of state associated held-in-trust collections are catalogued. The work outlined for the Coleto Creek sites will rehabilitate an important collection before provenience information becomes irretrievable.
