SAMs 1.3.1 This research project explores the implementation of an inquiry-based literacy curriculum in Colombia with four local classroom teachers and their elementary students. Using principles of design development and participatory action research, the investigator will explore the ways in which an inquiry-based literacy curriculum can be implemented and supported in rural Colombian classrooms and how engaging in this curriculum can influence student reading attitudes and reading achievement. These questions will be answered through qualitative and quantitative data collected from the participants and their elementary students over one academic year.
