SAMs 1.1.1 The UTSA Center for Community and Business Research (CCBR) at the Institute for Economic Development will perform an assessment for Medtronic's activities that will provide economic impact estimates for the operations and capital expenditures of the firm. The expenditure data will be based on Medtronic inputs. Direct impacts will be entered into IMPLAN input-output database for 2015, at the State of Texas level, and measured in terms of operations and capital expenditures. These direct quantifiable impacts will be utilized to measure indirect and induced effects of the presence of Medtronic. Output, employment and gross regional product will be estimated in terms of direct, indirect and induced effects where applicable. The impacts will include the years 2016 through 2026, and they will be based on information provided by Medtronic.
