1.1.7 In collaboration with the Center for Simulator Maritime Training (CSMART), Drs. Jiabi Du and Kyeong Park will conduct numerical simulations to provide velocity data, averaged over the top 10 m, in the Galveston Channel and the region near the Galveston Bay mouth. The data will be used as input for the cruise ship simulator training coordinated at CSMART . The collaboration will expand the potential and capability of the numerical model developed at TAMU, especially in the field of marine transport and navigation.
