SAMs 1.1.4 - "...overarching goal of establishing a coupled modeling testbed along the Texas Coast that will help NOAA as well as the state of Texas meet the manifold challenges confronting the State’s coastal communities. The initiative builds on existing partnerships among UTA, NOAA, the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), the Army Corps of Engineers - Galveston District, and USGS. At the center of the testbed is an integrated modeling system that couples the National Water Model (NWM) running at NOAA with the NOAA North Gulf Operational Forecast System (NGOFS2), and the TWDB’s soon-tobe operational Coastal Science modeling system. and USGS.
