SAMs 1.1.4 - "The plan is to create a high-resolution array of sensors in the Coastal Bend able to detect and quantify emissions. Time is of the essence, as the world’s second largest ethane cracker, the huge petrochemical Exxon-SABIC (Gulf Coast Growth Ventures) plant, has moved up plans to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2021. This work will help establish a regional baseline and put in place ongoing monitoring to protect Coastal Bend communities as rapid industrialization continues...."
