Note:
This project will continue to benefit the Texas coast by creating oyster habitat in Galveston Bay. Since the inception of the program, GBF has collected over 1,000 tons of oyster shell. Over 50% of these shells have been returned to the Bay to help replenish hard substrate and sustain local oyster populations. The information derived from the proposed research will help ensure only clean and safe shell is returned to Galveston Bay to establish a resilient native oyster population. SAM 1.1.1.
