Note:
Funding from the National Archives grant will be used to increase knowledge about family collections archiving importance among members of the Arab American community in Houston and the greater Gulf Coast area. Faculty and student researchers will interact with members of the community, hold workshops, and make home visits for collecting archival materials and collections, Funding may be used for student research assistant salaries or faculty stipends, for travel for both faculty and research assistants in Houston, or Te11as, or elsewhere including travel, meals, and mileage as needed to support the goals of the project. Faculty will work with other colleagues on the grant to discuss periodic progress and findings. Funding may also be used lo purchase any needed supplies, materials, equipment, or software.
