Lee College serves a general population of students with disabilities including those with IDD and Autism. The student populations that the Access Center serves includes: 1) students who seek college certificates or degrees in preparation for a career or university transfer, 2) Dual enrollment students, 3) students enrolled community education and non-credit Workforce programs.

| Adult Community Education Services Transition Program |
Launched in August 2016, this pilot program (A.I.M.) in collaboration with Goose Creek Independent School District is for students, aged 18+, who are either IDD or on the Autism Spectrum. Students are referred to this adult transition program, where the community serves as the classroom. The program is designed to increase independence of adult students with disabilities and maximize their potential to become active members of their community. Through individualized and supported training, meaningful relationships and community partnerships, student skill development focuses on employment/job training, postsecondary education, volunteering/service learning, travel training, social settings, recreation, leisure, and independent living.

| Life Skills for Intellectually Disabled Students |
Designed for the developmentally disabled adult to enrich and enhance adult life, this course provides students with a wide variety of skills, including functional skills in computer technology, basic math and reading, and leisure time activities. Students must be 21 years of age or older and NOT enrolled in public school. Beginners and/or returning students welcome. Pre-registration with Lee College Center for Workforce & Community Development is required before attending class.
