The Student Disability Services office at Texas Tech University collaborates with the Burkhart Center for Autism Research at TTU to provide an academic coaching and socialization program entitled Connections for Academic Success and Employment (CASE). Students on the Autism Spectrum qualify for this program, but must first be admitted to TTU under regular academic requirements. Services include monthly meetings with the student, his SDS Academic Counselor, his CASE Learning Specialist, and a representative of the Texas Workforce Commission since the focus is on successful employment after graduation.
Most of the services listed above are provided to students who are participants in the CASE program.
The services provided through the CASE program are the only ones on the TTU campus provided to students with this disability.
