Note:
The objectives of the present research plan are to strategically integrate the university and community partnerships, coupled with trusted Community Health Worker (CHWs), as critical and unparalleled catalysts to: 1) provide data for understanding barriers of rapid testing among underserved Hispanics, and 2) reduce self-testing deficiencies by providing language appropriate demonstrations and resources for self-administration. The proposed studies will test the novel HYPOTHESIS that our 6th-grade comprehension level English and Spanish instructions, accompanied by a brief bilingual video, will increase access (as indexed by disseminated kits to our community and view count on our developed bilingual video disseminated through YouTube), clarity (as indexed by self-reported ease in interpreting instructions), and self-efficacy to selftest.
