In collaboration with Sandia National Laboratories, this LDRD project will establish the fabrication methods needed to produce custom form lithium-ion batteries using additive manufacturing (AM) techniques. UTEP will accelerate the development of printed separators, solid polymer electrolyte (SPE), gel polymer electrolyte (GPE) and packaging materials through vat photopolymerization (VPP) techniques.
