Note:
The project team will conduct interdisciplinary research to monitor and assess air quality conditions and their effects at one of the downtown urban international crossings in the Paso del Norte airshed, addressing both indoor air quality pollution -when assessing BOTA workplace installations- and outdoor air quality pollution sources, -when monitoring emissions of the idling vehicular traffic on the bridge. The goal is to evaluate a) the health risks for BOTA employees exposed to daily high carbon monoxide emission levels and b) environmental justice concerns of the neighboring underserved communities affected by high carbon monoxide emission levels.
