Note:
We propose to develop machine learning based tools for classification of unresolved space objects (URSO) from their spectro-temporal signatures for space domain awareness (SDA). Accurate interpretation of signatures may allow us to perceive, predict, comprehend, and react appropriately to changing situations in the space environment. The proposed approach is based on the use of physics-based simulations to generate spectro-temporal data that can be used to study natural signature variability and dependency on object properties and to train algorithms for classification.
